Dense, dense with small white churches. This is what it looks like in many places in Fjärdhundraland. The medieval churches remain, several with paintings of Albertus Pictor.

Mariakyrkan Örsundsbro

Mariakyrkan in the middle of Örsundsbro is the modern meeting point of the Lagunda parish.

Arnö church is no longer a parish church, but concerts and church services are occasionally held there.

Hjälsta church was built at the end of the 15th century. It has high and stately vaults, but is completely devoid of medieval vault paintings. Do not miss the fine rune stones that stand just outside the cemetery wall west of the church.
