Äsåsen is a quiet and restful place high above the cultivated countryside. Here and there, there are viewpoints with wide views over the landscape. There are several ancient burial grounds on the hill, including a large burial mound. The people of the Iron Age gladly buried their dead in high-lying and open places where the tombs seemed far-reaching.
A nice hiking trail of 2.4 km will help you discover the ridge, up on the crest it follows a path that has been used for several millennia. The dry ridges were some of the ancient highways.
There are several prepared rest areas, so don't forget the coffee basket! Also make a visit to Härnevi plant nursery right next door. Besides plants of all kinds, there is also a fully stocked glass box.
