Litslena church is located at the intersection between Uppsalavägen and old Stockholmsvägen. Here, in all times, a lot of people have moved and even today the church functions as a road church in the summer. It is lucky that it is so often open, because there is much to look at in the medieval church. The altar closet is made in Lübeck in the 1480s and shows a variety of exquisite little figures that tell of Jesus' life. In the vault you see beautiful paintings from the 1470s made by an unknown artist. Albertus Pictor, who painted the neighboring churches in both East and West, clearly had competition!
At the western gate of the cemetery wall is a large flat stone. At the used returning soldiers in the past put themselves and tell news from the war fronts. Get up there too and make your voice heard!
