The result is biltong and droewors. Biltong is meat that is seasoned and marinated and then allowed to air dry. It is served in slices or thin pieces. Droewors is a seasoned, dried sausage.
Biltong and droewors are high in protein and low in fat and are great after a workout or when you're out hiking. But it works just as well as a tasty snack with a drink on the veranda or instead of chips in front of the TV.
The taste is varied in many ways, the traditional South African seasoning contains, among other things, coriander. Production is small and artisanal, and Elin and Thomas have spent a lot of time trying out the right flavor combinations.
