Magnus Brahe (1790-1844) dedicated his life to working at the center of events. He became Karl XIV Johan's advisor, interpreter and friend from the time the former Marshal Bernadotte arrived in Sweden in 1810. When he became king, there was even talk of the 'Brahe Commonwealth'. At the same time, Excellency Brahe was a committed castle owner and carried out major interior design work at Skokloster Castle, which is still visible today.
