A more beautiful world is a passionate and humorous newly written theatrical concert with Astrid Lindgren as the guiding star, performed by the Swedish-Dutch duo De Andersons. Since 2012, Anna Ågren and Roel Dullaart have been charming audiences in the Netherlands and, after moving to Uppsala in 2023, also audiences in Sweden. Critics have called their performance “exceptionally beautiful” and “inspiring in a world where beauty is at stake”. Now they invite you to A More Beautiful World, with a guest appearance by an exciting artistic voice. The performance begins in a moment of longing. Two people on stage, in the middle of a time that is shaking, with a stubborn feeling that the world could be bigger, warmer, braver than the one we see around us. Astrid Lindgren once opened the door there. Not just to fairy tales, but to a way of seeing the world where courage is possible, where imagination is real, where no one can do everything, but where everyone can do something. With newly written songs, stories and rebellious humor, we move between everyday life and the world, between the child we were and the adult we have become, between the fear of not being enough and the courage to reach out anyway. What happens to our dreams when we get older? Do we still dare to believe in a more beautiful world? Throughout the performance there is Astrid's voice - a stubborn reminder that love begets love, that everything of value begins in someone's imagination - and that the world is not finished yet. Welcome to a theater concert that sneaks under your skin, and stays there. Like a little song of revolution. The concert will also be joined by an exciting guest who, with his unique voice and expression - in film, art, literature, philosophy, theater or poetry - gives the performance a very special glimpse. The buffet will be served in the upper studio, where the performance will take place.
