The songs came about after singer Irene took a trip along the Mississippi River, where she visited Austin, Clarksdale, Memphis and Nashville. This trip inspired her to write songs based on her experiences. As a result, she recorded an album called Yellow Star. It is a mixture of Blues,Americana & Country.
