Full day excursion in Fjärdhundraland.
Guided tour of Enköping's parks. The guide tells the story of how an innovative urban gardener created what has become Enköping's major tourist attraction. The tour goes through some of the many parks and the guide talks about plants, design and the characteristics of the different locations. The tour ends at Drömparken, created by Piet Oudolf, a world-renowned gardener known for his spectacular compositions of tall and colorful perennials.
After the visit to Enköping's parks, the journey continues south in the beautiful landscape south of Enköping towards Grönsöö castle. Here, lunch is served in Brännvinsbränneriet. The lunch consists of gravlax with chef's salad, green salad, butter and bread, light beer or water. Coffee and cake.
After lunch there is a guided tour of the castle or castle park by a representative of the von Ehrenheim family. If you choose the castle tour, you will experience an increasingly rare, cohesive collection of antiques in its proper setting. You will hear the story of the von Ehrenheim family living in the castle, the collections, the site and how the family works with the park, exhibitions, agriculture and fruit growing. The park tour includes the castle park, the Chinese gazebo and the flower garden. The castle tour includes admission to exhibitions and a written guide to the park. There is plenty of time to stroll around the park, visit the exhibitions or shop in the castle shop.
