The oldest parts of Teda church date from around 1200, but the church has been extended and altered many times. The so-called Stureska burial choir from the 17th century is what dominates the front of the church today. It was built by the leading family in the area on Strömsta farm. At the time of the Great Powers, it was common for important families to highlight themselves by building a lavish tomb at the parish church, the neighboring church Enköpings-Nose for example, also has one.
As you enter the church, the colorful choir window catches your eye. Created in 1960 by artist Harald Lindberg, it depicts some of the major church festivals of the year.
The pulpit is in the Renaissance style from 1644, with small sculptures of the four evangelists standing within their own little 'gate'.
