In the middle of Grillby is Enabygdsarkivet - the central point for Villberga Hembygdsförening. Meetings, study circles, courses and other activities focusing on local history and cultural heritage are held here.
The Enabygdsarkivet was founded in 1956 by librarian and local historian Erik Strand, and has since grown into a comprehensive collection about the area and the people who have lived here. The archive contains countless shelf meters of newspaper clippings from the local press, documents from the time when Grillby was its own municipal community and material from associations that have existed over the years. There are also books, printed matter, thousands of photographs, maps, furniture and other items from the area.
Among the collections is something unique - the Enköpings-Post's only preserved newspaper set, with annual bound newspapers from the turn of the last century until the 1960s.
The Enabygdsarkivet is open to the public and is a fascinating place for those who want to discover the local history of the area.
