Ytterkvarn

The most prominent feature at Ytterkvarn is the stone bridge over Skattmansöån. The waterfall in the river has long been used for iron processing, and an ironworks was established in the 18th century.The Upplandsleden trail passes Ytterkvarn and there is a rest area with a picnic table made from an old millstone. From here you can continue through Skattmansöådalen Nature Reserve, on to Skattmansöbacken.There is parking and an information sign at the bridge.
