On the Tullen farm outside Enköping, Ellen runs Tullens Grönska - a small-scale cultivation of vegetables, flowers and potatoes. Today, about 2000 square meters of vegetables are grown here, of which 170 square meters in greenhouses, and about 1000 square meters of potatoes.
The crop is grown naturally, without chemical pesticides and with nutrients from our own compost and manure from our own farm and nearby farms. Most of the work is done by hand, and cultivation is gradually moving towards more trenchless methods. Potatoes are an exception - they are planted using a tractor.
The farm also has a flock of hens of various breeds, which provide eggs for sale.
The vegetables are mainly sold through subscriptions to vegetable boxes, which are booked via the website and delivered within Enköping and the surrounding area during the season. In addition, Tullens Grönska participates in local events such as Fjärdhundraland's rounds and the Garden Day in Enköping, and also delivers on a smaller scale to restaurants and cafés.
Ellen also sews children's clothes which she sells on Instagram under the brand name of Little Södersätra.
