Jonne Bentlöv's jazz quintet plays Lars Färnlöf

Jonne Bentlöv is without a doubt one of Sweden's most popular and appreciated trumpeters. After his music education at KMH in Stockholm, he has played in numerous groups and contexts and made several tours in Europe, USA, Asia and Africa. Among the groups Jonne plays with are First Aid Kit and Bo Kaspers Orkester. His trumpet playing can be heard on records by world stars such as Ariana Grande and Tori Kelly. Jonne also runs his own jazz quintet, playing both trumpet and flugelhorn, and it is with this quintet that he comes to the mill. They will play music by the composer Lars Färnlöf who was one of the best in Sweden ever and passed away prematurely in 1994. Lasse Färnlöf was a recognized fine jazz musician and a wayward composer with melodically surprising twists that quickly felt ingenious. Simplicity and artistry at the same time, as in "Att angöra en brygga". Jonne has been playing Färnlöf's music on stage and on record for some time." The music and soul of Lars Färnlöf " which received good reviews: "It is definitely a worthy tribute to Färnlöf, a successful attempt to put the spotlight on him again and play his compositions as he would have done himself." (quote Hans Halling, Lyra) In addition to Bentlöf, we hear Björn Jansson on saxophone, Erik Hanspers on piano, Lars Ekman on bass and Carl Ottosson on drums.
