Violin & Piano with Ylva Larsdotter & Anna Christensson
Time
Saturday, August 9, 19.00-21.30
Ylva and Anna got to know each other back in 2005, when they studied at Edsberg/Kungliga Musikhögskolan.
Since her diploma concert in 2007, Anna Christensson has established herself as a classical pianist with an unusually broad repertoire. She is particularly passionate about lowering the thresholds for the audience by having a musical approach to the repertoire. She has received several awards and has been a soloist with several of the major Swedish orchestras. She has been conductor at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, and since 2014 is the musical director of the Stockholm-based Kamraterna Opera.
Ylva Larsdotter completed her university studies with Ulf Wallin at the Edsberg/Kungliga Musikhögskolan and with Helge Slaatto at the Music Academy in Münster, Germany. Already at the age of 7 she had her first solo performance with the Sandviken Symphony Orchestra and has since been a soloist with a number of Swedish orchestras, including the Dalasinfonietta. Ylva currently works as 2nd concertmaster of Västerås Sinfonietta. With the motivation "A brave and modern artist who with her passionate expression takes the audience on an exciting chamber music journey" Ylva Larsdotter won second prize in the Ljunggrenska competition 2015.
