Hacksta church is small and sits quite alone in the field landscape. It has a simple, unassuming exterior, while its uneven walls have something ancient about them. The church consists of a nave and a narrower chancel. The roof is covered with tarred shingles.
Construction of the church began at the end of the 13th century, while the porch was added about two hundred years later.
Around the chancel window there is a decorative drapery painting from the end of the 17th century. Between the walls of the church, you can see heavy-duty iron drawstrings. They were also installed in the 17th century to prevent the church from falling down.
