De kerk van \u00d6sterunda is een typische witgepleisterde middeleeuwse kerk in Uppland, met de rode klokkentoren op een heuvel vlakbij. De kerk werd gebouwd aan het einde van de 13e eeuw en in de tweede helft van de 15e eeuw werd het interieur gevuld met schilderingen van Albertus Pictor<\/a>. Hier zie je de oudste geschilderde afbeelding van een ski\u00ebr in Zweden (in Balingsta, niet ver hiervandaan, staat een ski\u00ebr op een runesteen gekerfd. Ski\u00ebn heeft een lange geschiedenis in Uppland!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De schilderijen in \u00d6sterunda zijn witgekalkt en daardoor niet in dezelfde goede staat als de Albertus Pictor schilderijen in H\u00e4rnevi<\/a> of H\u00e4rkeberga<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De kerk ligt op een schilderachtige locatie en het gemaaide gazon erachter belfries<\/a> is een mooie picknickplek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
