De kerk in Husby-Sjutolft<\/strong> De bouw begon aan het einde van de 13e eeuw en naarmate de tijd verstreek werden er verschillende delen aan toegevoegd. Aan het einde van de 15e eeuw was het tijd om het portaal en de bakstenen gewelven in het middenschip te bouwen. In verband met deze bouwprojecten de kunstenaar Albertus Pictor<\/a> om afbeeldingen op het plafond en de muren te schilderen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vandaag de dag zijn er schilderingen bewaard gebleven op zowel de muren als de plafonds van het portaal en de torenkamer. In het middenschip zijn er alleen schilderingen op de muren omdat de gewelven in de 17e eeuw werden herbouwd. Alle schilderingen zijn witgekalkt, maar zijn hersteld en verkeren in redelijk goede staat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Husby Sjutolft kun je een prachtig schilderij zien van een mannetjesleeuw met welpen en de arme Sint Erasmus<\/a> die omwille van zijn geloof zijn ingewanden uit zijn maag liet verwijderen terwijl hij in een pot werd gekookt. In de veranda vind je het Levenswiel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Albertus Pictor signeerde de schilderijen in Husby-Sjutolft. Zijn handtekening staat boven de deur van de sacristie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
