Kvekg\u00e5rden is een goed bewaard gebleven boerderij waar we kunnen zien hoe het leven er aan het begin van de 19e eeuw uitzag. Buig je nek, want je stapt in een tijd waarin de drempel hoog was, de deurpost laag, de enige koe van de boerderij klein was en het varken in een stal woonde die kleiner was dan je tv.<\/p>\n
Hoe komt het dat deze oude boerderij er nog steeds staat en niet is opgeknapt en uitgebreid zoals alle andere boerderijen? Nou, hier woonde Lotta Lundevall, die de boerderij in 1864 van haar vader overnam en geen reden zag om te verbouwen en uit te breiden.<\/p>\n
Ten tijde van haar dood in 1926 was de boerderij nog net zo als bijna een eeuw eerder en toen al uniek. Zuidwest-Upplands lokale geschiedenis vereniging<\/em> nam de boerderij over en behield hem.
