Er zijn verschillende artefacten in de kerk die tot de oudere houten kerk behoren, waaronder een doopvont uit de 12e eeuw. De gevels van de kerk hebben opvallende witte decoratieve velden, bekend als blinde ringen, en het dak is bedekt met houtsnippers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vlakbij de kerk werd in 1247 een veldslag uitgevochten waarbij verschillende stammen streden om de koninklijke macht in Zweden. De Slag bij Sparrs\u00e4tra wordt in verschillende middeleeuwse kronieken vermeld.
