De meloenpingu\u00efn is een terugkerend figuur in het werk van Karin Gillberg. Het is haar eigen fantasiedier dat je in vele vormen tegenkomt in haar kleine winkel - Kunstboden. Er zijn originele aquarellen en metalen sculpturen, maar ook bedrukte mokken, kussenhoezen, ansichtkaarten en nog veel meer. Karins wereld is fantasierijk, waar het kaneelbroodje in een roos verandert en de paardenbloem in een macaron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karin is kunstenaar en illustrator en een rode draad in haar werk zijn dieren, vaak afgebeeld op een humoristische manier die een klein verhaal vertelt. Ze exposeert haar kunst sinds 2013, onder andere bij Galleri Puckeln in Stockholm en Ekstr\u00f6ms konst in V\u00e4ster\u00e5s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
