Every season in Fj\u00e4rdhundraland is beautiful, but there\u2019s something special about fall. When fall storms sweep the leaves across the fields and persistent rain soaks the landscape, the longing to get inside where it\u2019s warm grows strong. That\u2019s when rustic, comforting food tastes especially good. Small farm shops, countryside caf\u00e9s, and bistros offer just that. And so much more, of course. When the sun makes the autumn leaves glow, it\u2019s a great time to stretch your legs. All around Fj\u00e4rdhundraland, you\u2019ll find everything from castle parks to nature reserves and winding country roads.

Candle makers, weavers, artists and ceramists with different specializations are examples of activities that welcome you. Make one or more visits and get inspired! Take the opportunity to shop, eat and drink and experience our beautiful countryside in a new way!\u00a0

Ekolsund Castle Park and Arboretum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

10 avenues with a total of 1,400 trees spread across 40 hectares of land, forming a vast park and arboretum\u2014it offers Ekolsund Castle<\/a> Here, there are 400 different tree species to discover, which naturally invites you to take lovely fall walks on the very grounds where knights, kings, and princesses once called home. At various spots throughout the park, you\u2019ll find signs with QR codes where Sofia Vasa serves as your park guide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fall Break Adventure on an Icelandic Horse<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At Rainbow Hill Stables outside \u00d6rsundsbro, there are many activities organized for horse lovers of all ages. One of them is the \u201cFall Break Adventure on Icelandic Horses,\u201d where you ride in groups of four and get to enjoy winding forest trails and magnificent views of the Uppland countryside. Thin bread course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sara is absolutely convinced that flatbread should be baked together! She has a special soft spot for flatbread, and she\u2019ll teach you everything\u2014and then some\u2014about how to bake the best flatbread. \u201dWe roll out the dough and bake it, drink coffee, and let the butter melt on the freshly baked flatbread. At the end of the evening, you\u2019ll get to take the flatbread we baked home with you. An Evening of Candlelight in the Food Forest on All Saints' Day<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A path lined with lanterns leads from Kulla Church through the forest down to Solkulla Matskog, which is illuminated by lanterns, torches, bonfires, and string lights. For the children, there are installations in the area that they can search for with a flashlight. Once they\u2019ve found them all, they\u2019ll be treated to candy, cookies, and fruit juice. You can buy grilled sausages from Morikan or hot chocolate with whipped cream, as well as other hot drinks and cookies. Creamy pumpkin soup is available for those who are hungry. Admission: 30 SEK.
