A farmers\u2019 market, the \u201cFood & People\u201d food tour, golden sunflower fields, and a winding bike trail. You can experience all this and much more during late summer in Fj\u00e4rdhundraland. A wonderful break from everyday life is a trip to the countryside, where you can recharge your batteries and find inspiration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some tips on what you can do and experience during late summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Friday Market at Enk\u00f6ping \u2013 The Countryside Comes to Town! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Pepparrotsstaden's Garden & Crafts.<\/a> August 21, September 11, and September 18 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Pepparrotsstadens Tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd & Hantverk, R\u00e5dhusgatan 2, 745 31 Enk\u00f6ping. On five Fridays in August and September, various vendors from Fj\u00e4rdhundraland will gather at Pepparrotsstadens Tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd & Hantverk to sell their products at the Friday Market. These are primarily vendors specializing in edible products and artisanal foods, such as Tullens Gr\u00f6nska and H\u00e4st & Gr\u00f6nsaksbonden\u2014locally grown vegetables, Bl\u00e5sippsbackens Glass\u2014small-batch ice cream, Upplandskubbkokeriet\u2014traditional bread, B\u00e4rby Smokehouse\u2014meat and BBQ, and Skokloster Choklad\u2014small-batch fine chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wander through a large corn maze<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s large corn maze is open again at Giresta Staby S\u00e4teri outside \u00d6rsundsbro. Here, young and old alike can venture among the tall cornstalks and try to find their way through the maze\u2014a fun outing and activity for the whole family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While you\u2019re there, why not make a day of it and stop by the shops Det lilla mejeriet and Kejbert Concept, which offer shopping, inspiration, and a chance to enjoy a coffee break in a rural setting. Regular hours for both shops and the corn maze:
Wednesday\u2013Saturday, 10 a.m.\u20134 p.m.

Smell, taste, look, enjoy\u2014Food & People is an experience for all the senses, where food and people take center stage. Each participating venue offers a small dish or tasting sample for 50 kronor. Many of the participants\u2019 tasting plates feature ingredients and flavors from other Fj\u00e4rdhundraland members\u2014feel free to ask.

All locations will be participating on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food & People: Map & Menu.<\/a>
We warmly invite you to try Fj\u00e4rdhundraland\u2014your visit to Mat & M\u00e4nniskor will be both an experience and a full meal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Uppland Bicycle Trail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Uppland Bicycle Trail<\/a> Uppsala is the county\u2019s first regional bike trail, which will open in 2026. Here, you can bike from B\u00e5lsta to Enk\u00f6ping, passing through parts of Fj\u00e4rdhundraland. The route is designed to pass by many attractions along the way. Perfect for a wonderful, peaceful cycling vacation close to the city!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magnificent sunflowers in a bouquet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Axel & Gren<\/a> Outside Uppsala, the sunflower field is in bloom, and the pick-your-own area is open starting in early August. A good tip is to wear long pants, and during or after rain, boots are recommended.
Pruning shears are a must for cutting the sunflowers. You can borrow a pair during the store\u2019s opening hours; otherwise, bring your own.
You'll find parking right next to the sunflower field.
Axel & Gren also has a small flower garden where visitors can pick their own cut flowers (dahlias, sweet peas, etc.).
Tip! The flowers will last longer if you remove most of the leaves before putting them in a vase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

H\u00e5rsb\u00e4ck Days<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the weekend of September 12\u201313, businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs will open the doors to their operations. Ceramic figurines, guided tours of agricultural history, a trivia quiz, and a flea market are just a few of the things you can see, buy, and experience during these days. A total of 23 participants are taking part this year.
