Time for the Fj\u00e4rdhundraland harvest festival\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pack your coolers and make sure you're really hungry. On Saturday, September 21, it's time for one of Fj\u00e4rdhundraland's absolute highlights - the Food & People food tour. Then you can travel around and try as many taste plates as you can.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fj\u00e4rdhundraland destination is growing by leaps and bounds. Last year, more than half a million people visited one of the 170 destinations in Fj\u00e4rdhundraland. This year, the number of businesses has grown to 200. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year's edition of the Food & People food tour brings together 31 farms, bakeries, castles, butcheries, vegetable growers, caf\u00e9s, tea merchants, ice cream makers, fruit growers, cheese makers and many more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Anyone traveling in Fj\u00e4rdhundraland to eat will not be disappointed. Here you will not only find good food, but you will also experience it, both on the plate and out in the fields, vegetable plots, orchards and in the pastures where the animals graze, graze and eat. All food vendors are offering a tasting plate for only SEK 40. This year's menu includes dishes such as grilled corn, pulled ewe wrap, gray pea soup, ravioli with wild herbs, goulash soup and American smashed burger. For those who like a bit of dessert, there are also plenty of sweets, such as ice cream, waffles, cake buffets, Austrian brioches (buchteln) with custard and apple cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as in previous years, it is also possible to learn about food. This year, several of the participating companies will be sharing their food knowledge with visitors in various ways. Alsta Gardens has an exhibition on horseradish, T\u00e4rna Bygdeg\u00e5rdsf\u00f6rening tells about older fruit varieties from T\u00e4rna and at Gr\u00f6ns\u00f6\u00f6 Castle there is the opportunity to taste a large number of apples. There are demonstrations of vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, films from henhouses and much more. On some farms you can get to know cows, lambs, pigs, chickens and honeybees. Several of the food artisans also give practical tips on cooking and food preparation, such as how to make your own ice cream, jams and juices, stuff sausages and air-dry hams, and much more. And if you fancy it, you can try baking your own pasta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
