\u00d6rsundsbro is a community strategically located between Enk\u00f6ping and Uppsala, by road 55 that we travel on today, and by \u00d6rsunda\u00e5n which was the Vikings' motorway.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00d6rsundsbro - a trading place<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00d6rsundsbro is a trading place with very old origins. It all started with a bridge being built over the \u00d6rsunda\u00e5n river around eight hundred years ago. The flat area on the south side of the bridge, which today is the square, already became a meeting and market place. Communications were good in several directions and there were no city customs. It attracted traders far and wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ever since the Viking Age, this place has been interesting. Then you traveled on \u00d6rsunda\u00e5n - today it is road 55 between Enk\u00f6ping and Uppsala which is the \u00d6rsundsbroarnas fairway. Many commute to Uppsala and Enk\u00f6ping and live in \u00d6rsundsbro and enjoy the charm of the small community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year the market is organized Mickelsm\u00e4ss<\/a> in \u00d6rsundsbro which attracts about 25,000 people to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In \u00d6rsundsbro is available The Old Cinema in \u00d6rsundsbro<\/a>, a cinema museum showing films on summer evenings, Salnecke castle with fine Salnecke castle caf\u00e9<\/a>, Kappen<\/a> which is a small museum that shows what a country store looked like in the past, on the site of Sweden's first cooperative business. Lagunda hometown association <\/a>works to tell about the area and has, among other things, made a sign system with historical facts, which is based on the Cape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
