By the bridge, in the middle of \u00d6rsundsbro, is a small red-timbered building \u2013 the small trade museum Kappen. At this location was Sweden's first cooperative business, founded as early as 1850. In order to improve the peasant economy, the incumbent governor Robert von Kraemer made sure that Lagunda and Hagunda herder's procurement companies<\/em> was formed. The company served as both a producer and consumer cooperative. Cereals were sold at higher prices than the farmers received when acting separately and goods were purchased from Stockholm at lower prices than those applicable in the neighboring cities of Enk\u00f6ping and Uppsala. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the small museum is a nice old country shop interior from the neighborhood and you also know more about local shipping history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
