God help his spirit. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Almost a thousand years ago, Ari, who lived on Ramsj\u00f6 farm, decided to have a runestone erected in memory of his father Hj\u00e4lm. He gave the assignment to rune engraver Erik who had made a big name for himself in Fj\u00e4drundaland (Fj\u00e4rdhundraland). Erik, for example, is the author of a runestone that is next to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fjardhundraland.se\/en\/place-2\/forsby-kvarn-cafe\/\">Forsby kvarn<\/a> and on a farm a little further south two twin stones stand opposite each other.<\/p>\n<p>However, this stone had a slightly different fate.<\/p>\n<p>It stood in peace for a long time but exactly where we do not know. At some time in the 17th or 18th century, however, the then landlord on Ramsj\u00f6 farm seems to have moved it to the courtyard next to the yellow big house which is now on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>One of Gustav III's closest men, George Seton, lived in the 18th century with his son Alexander on Ekolsund's castle. At some point Alexander was in the neighborhoods around Morgong\u00e5va and got a view of the rune stone with the big cross. The reason is not clear, but in 1787 Alexander Seton transported the stone across the North Sea to Edinburgh in Scotland. Maybe he wanted to impress people in his old homeland?\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">The stone has since stood under the castle wall in Edinburgh and over time been almost completely forgotten. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The association Morgong\u00e5va Viking friends, however, thought that the stone belonged to Morgong\u00e5va and hired a  rister and historical expert, Kalle Runristare from Adels\u00f6, to arrange this. Kalle went to Edinburgh to study the stone in detail, and at home in Sweden he ordered a granite block of 1.2 tonnes and began to create an exact copy.<\/p>\n<p>With pomp and circumstance, the stone was erected on September 20, 2014 in the small park next to the railway in Morgong\u00e5va.
