Borup Farm always keeps the future in mind and therefore uses sustainable methods that benefit the animals, the soil, and future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The farm is located just a stone's throw from the E18 outside V\u00e4ster\u00e5s and is run by the Magnusson family as a small-scale family farm based on regenerative principles. Right now, the sixth generation is in the process of taking over the farm. The farm raises sheep, grows grain, maintains pastures, and engages in forestry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lamb boxes are particularly popular and can be ordered through the Borup Farm website. The farm\u2019s bees produce delicious honey, and in the fall, apple juice made from the farm\u2019s own apples is also available for purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you, as a consumer, shop at Borup Farm, you get products made with sustainability in mind. Animal husbandry is based on regenerative principles that make the most of what\u2019s available. The sheep eat feed produced on the farm\u2014silage, grass, oats, and barley. In the winter, they sleep soundly on straw from the farm\u2019s own crop production. The only external inputs are salt licks and minerals. Manure is collected, composted, and returned to the fields. This closes the cycle and contributes to living soil with better structure and fertility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For much of the year, the sheep graze in a solar farm next to the farm. There, they keep the landscape open, contribute to biodiversity, and at the same time create the conditions for local energy production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Borup Farm, everything is interconnected\u2014animal welfare, farming, and food. Their lamb boxes are the result of that very approach. It\u2019s locally produced meat from animals that have had a good life, raised in a system that strives to give back more than it takes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, people believe in the power of small-scale, locally produced goods and in managing the land, forests, and wildlife responsibly for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
