At the southwest corner of \u00c4ngs\u00f6n, on the shores of Lake M\u00e4laren, you'll find \u00c4ngs\u00f6 Fisk, a traditional and sustainable commercial fishery. There is a fish shop selling fresh and smoked fish and an unmanned self-service fish kiosk. Some of the catch is processed in their own smokehouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c4ngs\u00f6 Fisk is a wonderful destination, because here you can not only buy fish, but also enjoy a good lunch or coffee. Adjacent to the fish shop is Fiskarfruns caf\u00e9, which is open during the summer season. They serve dishes made with their own smoked fish, vegetarian options and simple dishes such as pancakes and ice cream. Home-made cakes are often served with coffee. The caf\u00e9 has full rights and in collaboration with Hantverksbryggeriet in V\u00e4ster\u00e5s, \u00c4ngs\u00f6 Fisk has developed the beer \u00c4ngs\u00f6 ljus lager, which can be enjoyed on site. It is also available for purchase at Systembolaget. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per Vidlund is a fifth-generation fisherman in Lake M\u00e4laren and started his business in 1979, aged just 16. Together with his wife Pauline, he runs \u00c4ngs\u00f6 Fisk. They fish all year round in a small part of Lake M\u00e4laren on leased fishing waters. They work for sustainable fishing so that smaller, undersized fish can swim out of the gear and grow to strengthen the fish stocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The range includes pikeperch, pike, perch, vendace, burbot and bream, depending on the season and availability. In the walled smokehouse, some of the fish is smoked in the traditional way with alder wood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have your own boat, you can moor at the jetty to visit the fish shop or caf\u00e9. There are also about ten parking spaces for motorhomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
