There are several objects in the church that belong to the older wooden church, including a baptismal font from the 12th century. The gables of the church have striking white decorative fields, known as blind rings, and the roof is covered with wood shavings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A battle was fought near the church in 1247, in which different tribes fought for royal power in Sweden. The Battle of Sparrs\u00e4tra is mentioned in several medieval chronicles.
