Camilla and Peter Sivander are the fifth generation at S\u00e4by Frukt in Veckholm. The apple cultivation goes all the way back to 1897 when the first apple trees were planted by the Sivander family. Peter grew up on the farm and Camilla is a trained pomologist. Both are driven by a passion for Swedish fruit cultivation and processing apples into tasty must. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the farm's 12 hectares, there are about 23,000 apple trees divided into fifteen different varieties that ripen between August and October, including well-known varieties such as Aroma, Discovery, Ingrid Marie and \u00c5ker\u00f6. Thanks to the farm's new ULO (Ultra Low Oxygen) storage, as well as storable apple varieties such as Rubinola and Elstar, S\u00e4by Frukt can offer fresh and tasty apples well into the spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fruit that is not of eating quality is pressed into must in our own muster room at the farm. The must consists of 100% apples without additives and is carefully pressed from pure varieties. The different varieties are pressed separately and the different musts get completely different characters; some round and soft while others are fresh and sour. The apple must is available in 3 liter bag in box and small bottles of 25 cl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the unmanned farm shop \u00c4ppelboden you can buy apple must, rapeseed oil pressed from rapeseed grown on the farm, and honey made from nectar from rapeseed and apple flowers all year round. In \u00c4ppelboden you can also try the different types of musts to find your favorite! From August to April you can pre-order fresh apples, which are picked up in the farm shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00e4by Frukt grows and samples its own apples.
