Sixty pairs of feet wandering away from the smooth stone slab are an enigmatic part of the rock carving at Stora Rickeby. Are they the footprints of a god so sacred that he cannot be depicted? Or are they the traces of people and gods who, side by side, leave the solid stone for another existence? There are many theories about the Bronze Age worldview, but no definite answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another curious image is a very deeply carved carving in the shape of a piece of clothing. It has probably been carved over and over again as part of a ritual, but why? Well, that is the question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stora Rickebyh\u00e4llen is right next to the road and is very accessible. There is a visitor ramp so that even wheelchair users can view the carving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
