A mill for all senses
By the winding Örsundaån, the water that powered mills and so much more in Fjärdhundraland, lies Forsby kvarn — Forsby water mill — on the water, a white building with a high chimney. Today the mill is the home of musicians Ibba Andersson and Staffan Larson, who since a few years run a café on the weekends out of the mill’s old machine room, now a beautifully restored coffee shop and restaurant. The pastries and cakes are out of the ordinary, the three course meals served on wednesdays likewise.
Forsby kvarn café has been awarded the Swedish White guide mark three years in a row.
In the summers the old mill main hall is the location for concerts with contemporary and classical music.
