The smallest church in the entire Uppsala diocese, not many people get a place here at the same time! It is a very charming church, where the limited space forced creative solutions - the altarpiece is at the same time the front of the pulpit.
The church has paintings by the 15th century artist Albertus Pictor. despite the fact that the paintings have been whitewashed, it is largely in very good condition. A unique image for Yttergran is Archbishop Jacob Ulfsson who you see kneeling to the left of the altar. He was the Uppland power factor of his time. Archbishop for 46 years and founded, among other things, Uppsala University.
