Heidi and Mikael Sund have created a lush and welcoming oasis in the old gardener's cottage at Säby Manor on Aspö. The farm café has generous seating both outside in the garden and in the heated greenhouses. Here, the pasties are home-baked and often decorated with beautiful edible flowers. If you're hungrier, you can choose a Norwegian waffle or a grilled toast.
The farm shop is full of homemade juices, jams, jellies, spice mixes and more, where the common denominator is "anything you can make from herbs". The many flavours are impressive, how about primrose juice or geranium sugar, for example!
You can also buy a selection of plants grown on site. The garden is home to chickens, ducks and a large rabbit. The beehives are buzzing and one of the cats is often napping in the sunshine. The herb garden is a cosy place to visit for young and old alike!
