In her workshop in Vallby-Österby, ceramist Ulrika Gyllenberg creates stylish crafts in stoneware and porcelain clay. She loves to throw pottery and began her career as a potter back in the 1990s through training at craft schools in both Helsingborg and Lidköping. This was followed by apprenticeships with potters in Höganäs and Velamsund outside Stockholm.
Ulrika designs and turns both handicrafts and larger ceramic objects for homes, restaurants, cafés and other businesses. Specially designed series are also produced, adapted for a unique environment or business.
Items from the production are sold, for example, at Haga castle, Lejondal Castle, Resta gård, Wik castle and Pepparrotsstadens Trädgård & Hantverk. Sometimes her work is also shown in galleries around the country, and exhibitions are then announced in advance.
Anyone who wants to experience the workshop and ceramics on site, buy something or discuss collaborations and special orders is warmly welcome to visit! Please make an appointment in advance, as there is often a lot going on. The workshop also hosts themed workshops or one-off courses for a smaller number of participants. In addition to ceramics, Ulrika also works as an architect and musician, with the violin as her main instrument.
