Our popular conversation series - new course this fall!
A warm welcome this fall to another new group for open-minded discussion evenings, linked to the timeless and big life questions - existential philosophical conversations about what concerns us most in life. The activity is part of Herresta Ladas to contribute to a more meaningful and richer life together. You book yourself for all meetings to a closed group so that you get to know each other and together help to create an open climate.
Much of what we are part of in society is heavily influenced from outside (e.g. advertising, lifestyle trends, expectations, etc.). Often it is about how we should live and what we should do or think. We do not always question the information we receive or fully understand how we are affected. Turning the question around and looking at ourselves then becomes increasingly important. What is really important to me, how do I want to live, who am I and what creates meaning and joy for me?
Let's take the help of different philosophical thinkers throughout history to explore together the great and classic questions of life. Over eight sessions, Tord will introduce one theme per evening from the perspective of different philosophers. Then we have open conversations in different forms to explore what it can mean for our lives today and for myself in my present and future. And then we think of conversations that are unpretentious, open and curious. The idea is not to argue or debate but to really curiously explore ourselves to find more inspiration and zest for life. Hopefully, we will also learn more about ourselves and from each other.
No prior knowledge is required and it is open to all. We would also like to emphasize that we are non-partisan and non-religious.
