Auf den ersten Blick macht die En\u00e5ker Kirche den Eindruck einer gr\u00f6\u00dferen Pfarrkirche im neugotischen Stil, hat aber viel \u00e4ltere Wurzeln. Die Kirche wurde wahrscheinlich um 1300 erbaut und Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts umfangreich umgebaut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Kirchenraum gibt es einige interessante Details. Aus der Zeit um 1475 stammen die sogenannten Gew\u00f6lbefiguren - gemalte Figuren, die die Gew\u00f6lbe zu st\u00fctzen scheinen. Die Sterngew\u00f6lbedecke schafft eine lebendige und symmetrische Decke. Im Inneren befinden sich au\u00dferdem Artefakte aus verschiedenen Epochen: ein gotl\u00e4ndisches Taufbecken aus dem 13. Jahrhundert, ein Triumphkreuz aus dem sp\u00e4ten 13. oder fr\u00fchen 14. Jahrhundert und ein Altarschrank aus den 1480er Jahren, der wahrscheinlich in Schweden hergestellt wurde. Au\u00dferdem gibt es zwei mittelalterliche Holzskulpturen, darunter eine Skulptur der heiligen Bridget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Jahr 2014 wurden bei Erdarbeiten rund um die Kirche arch\u00e4ologische Untersuchungen durchgef\u00fchrt. Dabei wurden \u00dcberreste \u00e4lterer Geb\u00e4udeteile, der ehemaligen Sakristei und Spuren einer \u00e4lteren Umfassungsmauer um den Kirchhof gefunden. Unter dem Kirchenboden wurden au\u00dferdem Reste eines \u00e4lteren Ziegelfu\u00dfbodens, Fragmente von mittelalterlichen Malereien, Gr\u00e4ber und kleine Artefakte wie Kn\u00f6pfe, Messer und Gesangb\u00fccher gefunden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Funde zeigen, dass der Ort schon lange genutzt wurde. Es wurden \u00dcberreste einer noch \u00e4lteren Steinkirche gefunden, und Holzkohleproben deuten darauf hin, dass Teile bereits aus dem 9. oder 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das \u00c4u\u00dfere der En\u00e5ker Kirche ist neugotisch, aber sie wurde wahrscheinlich um 1300 gebaut.
