Kyrkan uppf\u00f6rdes troligen omkring \u00e5r 1300 och byggdes om kraftigt i mitten av 1800-talet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I kyrkorummet finns flera intressanta detaljer. Fr\u00e5n omkring 1475 finns de s\u00e5 kallade valvgubbarna \u2013 m\u00e5lade figurer som ser ut att b\u00e4ra upp valven. De stj\u00e4rnvalvstaket skapar ett livfullt och symmetriskt tak. Inredningen rymmer ocks\u00e5 f\u00f6rem\u00e5l fr\u00e5n olika tider: en dopfunt fr\u00e5n Gotland fr\u00e5n 1200-talet, ett triumfkrucifix fr\u00e5n slutet av 1200-talet eller b\u00f6rjan av 1300-talet och ett altarsk\u00e5p fr\u00e5n 1480-talet, troligen tillverkat i Sverige. H\u00e4r finns \u00e4ven tv\u00e5 medeltida tr\u00e4skulpturer, bland annat en Birgittaskulptur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vid markarbeten runt kyrkan 2014 gjordes arkeologiska unders\u00f6kningar. D\u00e5 p\u00e5tr\u00e4ffades bland annat rester av \u00e4ldre byggnadsdelar, den tidigare sakristian och sp\u00e5r av en \u00e4ldre bog\u00e5rdsmur kring kyrkog\u00e5rden. Under kyrkgolvet hittades ocks\u00e5 l\u00e4mningar efter \u00e4ldre tegelgolv, fragment av medeltida m\u00e5lningar samt gravar och mindre f\u00f6rem\u00e5l som knappar, knivar och psalmb\u00f6cker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fynden visar att platsen anv\u00e4nts under l\u00e5ng tid.
