In Biskopskulla war der Erzbischof, wie der Name schon sagt, zu dieser Zeit ein gro\u00dfer Landbesitzer. Die Kirche von Biskopskulla ist eine mittelalterliche Kirche in Verkleidung - auf den ersten Blick sieht man, dass das kleine, aufget\u00fcrmte Heiligtum aus dem 18. Jahrhundert stammt - aber wenn man hineingeht, wird man von mittelalterlichen Fresken begr\u00fc\u00dft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biskopskulla war der Geburtsort von Erik Jansson - dem Prediger, der eine fanatische Sekte gr\u00fcndete und nach Amerika reiste. Er benannte seine neue amerikanische Heimat nach seinem Geburtsort, und in Bishop Hill, Illinois, sind die Verbindungen zu Schweden immer noch stark, auch wenn die Sekte ein d\u00fcsteres Ende fand. In der B\u00e4ckerei neben der Kirche befindet sich ein kleines Museum, das die Geschichte erz\u00e4hlt.
