Jahrhundert, doch gab es an dieser Stelle bereits eine \u00e4ltere Holzkirche. In der Kirche befinden sich mehrere Artefakte, die zu der \u00e4lteren Holzkirche geh\u00f6ren, darunter ein Taufbecken aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Die Giebel der Kirche weisen auff\u00e4llige wei\u00dfe Zierfelder auf, die als Blindringe bekannt sind, und das Dach ist mit Holzsp\u00e4nen bedeckt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In der N\u00e4he der Kirche fand 1247 eine Schlacht statt, in der verschiedene St\u00e4mme um die k\u00f6nigliche Macht in Schweden k\u00e4mpften. Die Schlacht von Sparrs\u00e4tra wird in mehreren mittelalterlichen Chroniken erw\u00e4hnt.
